SERC Fellow

The SERC Fellow designation is to draw professionals with experience and technical knowledge to SERC who would  otherwise not be involved.  Fellows will bring value to the SERC community with input on research directions and specific technical issues.

SERC Fellow must be nominated by

a current SERC industrial affiliate,

an active participating SERC academic researcher or

a member of the SERC administration.

The background design of the SERC Fellow pin is the Akan symbol 'Nea Onnim'. Literally translated means "He who does not know can become knowledgeable from learning; he who thinks he knows and ceases to continue to learn will stagnate."

The Akan believe that the search for knowledge is a life-long process and regard the elderly as wise and believe that experience comes with age.

Guidelines for SERC Fellow nominations :

1. Limited to industry professionals, or

2. Retired past SERC academic researchers who meet the remaining criteria (not intended for current SERC researchers)
