S²ERC focuses on improving the security and software engineering capabilities of its affiliate members by tailoring research projects to the business of each affiliate. Our affiliates are concerned with improving product quality, improving their product definition and construction, and solving hard problems within application domains. Over 100 software engineering research projects have been conducted in the SERC and S²ERC since 1986. These projects enable real-world companies to meet real-world goals through applied university-based research.
