Modeling the Auditory Pathway

We present progress of the work done on the simulation of the auditory pathway. The goal of the
project is to develop a modular simulation of the pathway that is capable of replicating results of
experiments performed involving the brainstem auditory evoked potential in children. A modular
simulation would allow altering the parameters of the validated model in order to produce a model of
an “unhealthy” pathway. Such a simulation model is expected to be a tool to assist in the diagnosis of
defects along the auditory pathway and for finding possible treatments for the defects found.
