Description

We consider orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) multicarrier systems. We propose a simple technique for OFDM. In the proposed system the arithmetic calculations are considerably simplified. The orthogonal transform is multiplierless. We verify that in this way viable communication systems can be built. The benefits of the proposed approach include enabling implementations using reconfigurable hardware such as FPGA and even purely software implementations on a DSP or a GPP.  We identify a number of problems for future research.
